เกาะปอมีชายหาดทอดยาวทางทิศเหนือ เหมาะสำหรับการเล่นน้ำและพักผ่อน ตั้งอยู่ตรงกันข้ามกับท่าเรือเมืองเก่าเกาะลันตา ชาวเกาะปอเป็นมุสลิมมีประมาณ500หลังคาเรือน ทำอาชีพประมง มีโรงเรียนเล็กๆ สถานีอนามัย สุเหร่า ร้านค้า วิถีชีวิตชาวเกาะปอเรียบง่ายและสงบตามแบบคนมุสลิมดั้งเดิม

Koh Por has a long stretch of sandy beach for swimming on its north coast, located opposite the pier of Lanta Old Town. Most of Koh Por’s 500residents are Muslim fisher folks; it has one primary school, a mosque, a nursery, a general store and community bank.
